Sönmez Certification was established with the mission of pioneering the development of a qualified workforce. Our institution provides examination and certification services within the framework of the regulations and National Qualifications published by the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK/VQA). To achieve this, we have built and rigorously implemented our Personnel Certification System upon fundamental and indispensable principles such as impartiality, equality, confidentiality, integrity, ethical approach, customer focus, and quality focus. All our activities are accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) in the relevant national qualifications according to the TS EN ISO/IEC 17024 standard, verifying our high standards of reliability.
Sönmez Certification was founded by Özgür SÖNMEZ in 2017 and started its certification activities with scopes of authorization in the Construction and Metal sectors. Setting continuous improvement and development as its core objective, our institution rapidly expanded its scope to include Textile, Machinery, and Transportation. As of today, we continue our operations uninterruptedly across 5 key sectors and 18 occupations. Through this expanding scope, our main objective is to ensure the participation of employees in the qualified and certified workforce, thereby minimizing work accidents, increasing production efficiency, and sustainably ensuring registered employment.
Regarding the global COVID-19 pandemic process, Sönmez Certification fully implemented the guidelines prepared by the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) concerning Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and hygiene rules. In line with these guides, we continue to conduct our examinations safely and in compliance with social distancing and hygiene protocols. Entry to our examination areas is strictly limited to authorized personnel and candidates. Conscious that "the problem is global, but the solution is individual," we continue our activities with determination, prioritizing the health of both our candidates and our personnel.
