Clarification Text on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK)
Sönmez Certification Body (“Company”), hereby informs you about the protection and processing of personal data within the scope of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the relevant legislation.
1. Collection, Processing and Purposes of Personal Data
The Company collects, stores, updates and processes your personal data to provide the best service to its customers and business partners. These data are processed in accordance with KVKK for the following purposes:
- To provide our services,
- To respond to your requests,
- To establish communication,
- To carry out promotional, survey and evaluation studies,
- To fulfill legal obligations.
2. Transfer of Personal Data
The Company may transfer your personal data to business partners, service providers, legal authorities and authorized public institutions only to the extent required by the service and within legal limits.
3. Protection of Personal Data
Technical and administrative measures are taken for the security of your personal data in accordance with KVKK and relevant legislation. Data security processes are regularly updated and improved.
4. Rights of the Personal Data Owner
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, as personal data owners, you have the following rights:
- To learn whether your personal data is processed or not,
- To request information if processed,
- To learn the purpose of processing,
- To know the third parties to whom data is transferred in the country or abroad,
- To request correction of incomplete or incorrect data,
- To request deletion or destruction of your data,
- To request notification of corrections, deletions or destructions to third parties to whom data is transferred,
- To object to a result against you by analyzing it via automatic systems,
- To claim compensation for damage due to unlawful processing.

You can submit your requests within the scope of Article 11 of KVKK:

Your applications will be finalized free of charge within 30 (thirty) days at the latest. However, if the transaction requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
This clarification text has been prepared by the Company in accordance with KVKK and the relevant legislation. The Company reserves the right to make updates to this text in order to adapt to legal changes.
